December 9, 1942 - March 1, 2025
In loving memory ~
The family of Glen Brink are saddened to announce his passing. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 1, 2025.
Glen was born in Wainwright, Alberta on December 9, 1942, to his parents Evelyn and Ernest Brink. Glen was the second of four siblings. They moved to BC in 1953, settling in the Langley area. In 1961 Glen moved with his family to Terrace to a job paving part of the Prince Rupert Highway. It was during this time that he met his future wife Marg (Scheper). He remained in Terrace, and they were married on February 1, 1963, and together they raised four daughters.
Glen worked at Skeena Sawmills/West Fraser from 1962 until he retired in 2000. Glen loved taking the old cars to car shows with his buddies. He also enjoyed woodworking.
The Brink house was well known as a coffee shop; the coffee was always on. Glen always enjoyed company, especially the family gatherings. All the family live in Terrace. He wasn't one to say too much, but his one liners had you laughing!
Glen & Marg wintered in Yuma, Arizona for 29 years. It was like going home to another family. Glen was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. Family was very important to him.
Glen is survived by his wife Marg 'Sweetie' for 62 years, brother Greg in Quesnel, BC, daughters Dee Dee (Colum), Bonnie (Brad), Rhonda and Tammy. Grandchildren Kyla (Jon), Jason (Liz), Kelly (Adam), Kevin (Jennifer), Sean, Shayla, Megan and Darius. Great-grandchildren Anabelle, Sawyer, Hudson, Maia, Ainsley, Casey and Emma.
Pre-deceased by his parents, Evelyn and Ernest, sister, Vonnie, brother Gordie and two sons-in-law, Ian Black, and Mark Kurek.
The family would like to thank Dr. Penney and family and friends for cards, flowers and food. Our memories will keep us together. Rest in peace until we meet again.
