It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of husband, father, and grandfather, Glen Bannister on August 3, 2017. May he rest in peace.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Alice; son Dennis and his wife Chera and the four grandchildren, Kassidy, Travis, Nathan, and Mackenzie; sister, Sandria Poile; and other family members in other parts of the country.
Glen took his carpentry apprenticeship here in Terrace and in later years started his own construction business, “BurBan Construction Co. Ltd.”. Besides the joy his family, friends and pets brought him, he loved playing cards, fishing and camping. He thought there was nothing better than sitting around a campfire “shooting the breeze” with family and friends.
There is no service per his wishes. There will be a “Celebration of Life” for family and friends to get together to share stories of Glen while socializing over food. Date is yet to be determined.
The Bannister family would like to thank all of our many friends and health care workers for your support and caring throughout Glen's illness.
Glen, you will always remain in our heart.
