January 10, 1928 - October 27, 2018
With great sadness in our hearts, we say farewell to our most beautiful and cherished wife, mom, Oma, sister, aunt, and friend. Gertrud (Trudy) Theresia LEHMANN, born January 10, 1928, in Gorkau, Germany, passed into heaven after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer, on October 27, 2018, in Terrace, BC. She is survived by the love of her life for 64 years, Heinz Lehmann, their two daughters, Karen (Wes) Zetaruk, of Victoria, BC, and Sabrina (Gord) Allen of Brandon, MB, and grandchildren, Logan Zetaruk, Savannah Zetaruk (Noah Stone), and Nakita Allen (Pavlo Goral). She also leaves behind her family in Germany: two sisters, Ingeborg Zaha and Roswitha Springer, three nieces and one nephew, along with their extended families.
Trudy is a long-time resident of Terrace, having arrived in 1967 with her young family, working together with Heinz at H. Lehmann Jewellers until their retirement in 1992.
Trudy loved her family with all of her heart, and received the deep love of her family in return. She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018, 2:00 pm, at Knox United Church, 4907 Lazelle Ave., Terrace, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
