It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Elsie Erickson.
Elsie was born in S-Heer Arendskerke, Holland. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1953, they settled in Summerland, then moved to Terrace in 1954 where they operated a family farm on Eby Street, developing her love of the outdoors.
Elsie was an avid gardener, she definitely had the dutch touch, winning many awards for her produce and flowers. Her favourite flowers were geraniums which surrounded her home from Spring to Fall. She also loved camping and always enjoyed a good roaring campfire. When she couldn't be outside she enjoyed old classic movies.
Elsie was predeceased by her parents Peiternella (Nell) and Jacob deJong, and her brothers Jake, Albert, Leo and Bill.
She leaves behind her loving partner of more than 30 years, Jerry Haugland, her children, Corina (Kevin) Pongracz, David Erickson, and Charity Erickson, Sister-in-laws Brenda, Violet, Isabelle, Margaret, Martina and Frieda. Also many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring.

kindness shown to Elsie over the years.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered
by her family and friends.
