Born to Samuel and Dorothy Collins on November 8, 1923, in Seattle, Washington, raised in Vancouver, Bette spent the last 54 years of her life in Terrace.
Bette was predeceased by her parents and her step-father, Maurice Smith, her brothers Frederick and William and her husband Thomas. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Sundberg (Kenneth) and son Colin Chasteauneuf, grandchildren Aaron Sundberg (Carling), Kiera Polzin (Jacob), and Shelagh Rich (William) and great grandchildren Brandi and Glen.
At Bette’s request, there will be no service. Donations can be made to the R.E.M.Lee Foundation in Bette’s memory.
