It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth "Claire" Williams on February 11, 2022.
Claire was born in Port Alberni, BC to Elizabeth and Lloyd Evans, she was the eldest of four girls. In 1952 the family moved to Prince Rupert and then in 1954 another move to Terrace where she married John Williams in 1955. It is there that they raised their family of four children.
Claire loved her family unconditionally, including her extended family, they were her pride and joy and she loved to reminisce with them. She was a wonderful friend, sister, aunt, mother and granny. She will be forever missed and always remembered for the love she had for her family, her strong faith and her quick wit.
Survived by her children and their families; Kelly (Lauren) Aaron (Sue) Harriette, Llewyn, Sarah (Ben) Casey, Stanley; Colleen Davis (Blake), Katherine, Max, Zoe, Andrea (Jason), John (Trina), Libby, Trish (Wes), Jake; Clayton, Gina, Liam, Oliver, Erika, Megan (Marco) Amelia, Rui, Emily (Cory) Lucy, Miles; Erin Hemmons (Cecil), Patrick (Liz), Cameron (Laura). Her sisters Patricia Prior; Edith MacKay (Dennis); Lois Kenmuir and their families as well as many cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her husband John, her brothers-in-law Don Prior and Terry Kenmuir and her granddaughter Katherine's partner Brick Karrer.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in memory of Claire to Veritas Catholic School, 4836 Straume Avenue, Terrace, BC V8G 4G3, a fund has been set up in her name for the music department at the school.
