In loving memory ~
On January 25, 2025, Mom's 94-year journey came to an end. She was born and raised in Armstrong as the only child of war vets Harry and Sarah Halliday. Soon after entering nursing school, she succumbed to the charms of forest Ranger Keith Irwin (Mick) and they moved north to begin their life together, living in Summit Lake, Prince George, Burns Lake, and finally Terrace where Mom fell in love with the mountains, so that that's where they stayed!
When her health declined in 2022, she reluctantly moved back to Prince George to be closer to family. Her last three months were spent at the incredible Prince George Rotary Hospice house. Predeceased by husband Keith (Mick) and little dog, Murphy, she is survived by daughter, Joyce and son Kevin (Ben)and Dianne, Her three "favorite" grandsons, Gavin, Darby, and Tye and their families Sara, Desiree, Nicole, Isabelle, Cohen, Danica, Deacon, Nichola, and Tessa. Special mention to her wonderful Terrace friends, Marielle and Dianne, who always stepped in like family when we couldn't be there!
