Dorinda was the only daughter of the late Capt. John Bowen-Colthurst and the Honorable Lady Bowen-Colthurst. She was predeceased by her brothers, St. John, Theo and David.
Although born in England she spent her childhood between Terrace and their summer home at Lakelse Lake. She returned to England just before WWII and joined the WRNS during the war. After the war she continued working with people in fields of social and education activities as a school matron and caregiver.
She will be missed by her many nephews and nieces in England and her nephew and his wife Michael & Melinda Bowen-Colthurst of Water Lily Bay Resort at Lakelse Lake.
