It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Don on the morning of

September 3, 2016.

Don was born in the Tisdale area of Saskatchewan before moving to northern Manitoba to work in a horse and sleigh pulpwood operation. He then moved to work in the mines in Lynn Lake, Manitoba. From there Don headed west to Terrace and Kitimat B.C. where he worked in the road construction industry. During the 25 years spent there Don married and raised a family. In 1981, Don moved to Kamloops to

operate his own business, eventually retiring on the Shuswap, then onto Vernon in 1996. He was a hard worker all his life but enjoyed golf, spending time on his boat, and most of all, being a snowbird going to Arizona and California. Don was always ready to offer his friendship and hospitality.

Don is survived by his daughter Maxine (Jim), his son Gary (Stephanie), his grandchildren: Garrett, Nastassia, Peter, and Brian, as well as his partner of many years, Gertie.
