It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Donald Herman Halvorson. He was 87 years old and passed away at Mills Memorial hospital, March 15, 2022, Terrace BC.
Donald was born at home in Mont Nebo Saskatchewan September 12, 1934 to Mr. George Palmer and Mrs. Jhortis viola Halvorson. He had five brothers and two sisters. Don Married Joan Marie cross in Enderby BC, 1958. Together they had four children, Mark (Karen), David (Sheila), Kathy and Christina (Blaine).
He also had 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Jonathan, Darren, Connor, Tiara and Gage. Also 3 great grandchildren, Oliver, Payton and Maribelle.
In his earlier years he served in the Air Force, then worked for BC Hydro near Prince Rupert BC. He then found his passion for logging and was very successful. He lived in Kitwanga BC and always called it home. In his later years he moved to Terrace BC. He had lots of stories to tell. He liked to sing and also liked mushroom picking and fishing. Donald was a great man with a heart of gold. If you've ever met him he's a hard man to forget. He was quite the character.
He will always be remembered, missed and loved very much, Rest In Peace
