It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Conrad A. Skaalrud, a wonderful man known for his sense of humour, many opinions, love of animals, his many collections and love of family. His passing was the result of slow, chronic kidney failure. When anyone asked about his health, the answer was always the same "Good, good". Conrad will always be missed by his loving wife Teresa (a.k.a. Chickie), son Conrad S. Skaalrud (Gayle), children Taylor, Hailey, and Justin; daughter Kerri Skaalrud; his sister Lorraine Schwengler (Jerry), children Tannis Lutz and Trent and their families; his brother Darcy D. Skaalrud (Carrol), children Darcy Jr. and Tamara Hugel (Chris) and son; plus several cousins, dear Auntie Rose, and many friends.
Thank you to Dr. Dhillon and the wonderful nurses who took such gentle care of Conrad.
A celebration of Conrad's life will be held at a later date to allow family members to attend. Thank you to all those who sent condolences, flowers and food. Greatly appreciated.
The sun still rises in the east, and darkness falls at night.
But nothing now seems quite the same, each day is not as bright.
The birds still sing, the flowers grow, the breeze still whispers too.
But it will never, ever be the same world without you.
It's so sad that you had to go, your leaving caused such pain.
