Unexpectedly passed away on Sunday November 22, 2009 at age 67.
He is predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Dianne, who passed away last year.
Survived by his loving children Lou (Karen) of Penticton and Kelly (Betty) of Grand Prairie, as well as grandchildren Maxwell, Jake and Cassidy.
Dad was born in Salmo BC and spent many years in the Kootneys before moving to
Edmonton where he met and married Mom. Shortly after, they moved to Terrace BC where they raised their children and Dad enjoyed a long career with Inland Kenworth.
In 2006, after nearly 40 years in the north, Dad and Mom moved to Penticton for warmer weather and to be closer to family.
Dad was a gentle and loving man, who
highly valued his family and friendships. Dad was a great teacher and he was always eager to lend a helping hand. He was an avid
skier, working many years on the ski patrol and
organizing trips for his kids and friends. Dad liked to garden, hunt and fish. But most of all he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
He was a truly amazing man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
“Forever in our hearts and memories –
we love you Dad and Grandpa”.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations made in Dad’s memory to the Terraceview Lodge, 4103 North Sparks St., Terrace.
