Candy passed away September 9th, 2016 after her battle with kidney cancer.

Candy was born in Winnipeg Manitoba July 1st 1953. This is why she was named Candy (Canda Day) by her parents Arthur James Smith and Leona Margaret Smith (pre deceased). She is also predeceased by her step-daughter Sandi (Reuben). She is survived by her brother Jaime, daughter Paula (Darcy), son Charlie, partner Michael, step-daughters Melanie (Adam) & Leslie (Orvil), and by her grandchildren Keaton, Conor, Gracie, Neveah, Henry, Everett, and Charlotte. The family would like to thank the Nurses at Mills Memorial Hospital for the care they provided in her last days.

Candy had many passions: art, music, skating, gardening, photography, collecting artful treasures, dancing, and raising her kids (the list goes on). Her biggest passion was for her friends and family. She couldn't go to town without running into a friend, or two, or three. She wore her heart on her sleeve while sharing laughs. She is missed!

Donations can be made to the Jean C. Barber Lodge (Canadian Cancer Society).
