In loving memory ~
It is with deep sadness and heartbreak we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter and sister, Brittney.
Brittney returned to the loving arms of her mother on December 12th following a motor vehicle accident near Cranbrook. Brittney was only 27, and had so many hopes, dreams and future plans that she was excitedly looking forward to. She was planning marriage and family with a new love, and was getting set to embark on a nursing career.
Brittney was born Brittney Forget in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, but was raised in Terrace. She moved to Nelson in 2016, and started a cleaning business. Britt recently moved to Kimberley to start a new life with her new beau, and she seemed to be never happier.
To say Britt was well liked is a huge understatement. She had so many friends and touched so many lives wherever she went during her young life. Britt was full of life, ready to take on new adventures, definitely living life to the fullest.
Brittney lost her mom in 2019, and was adopted by her stepdad two years ago. She was thrilled about this, and the Stephens' clan were just as happy welcoming her to the family.
Brittney is predeceased by her mom, Dahrlyne, stepbrother Brad, and her grandparents. She is survived by her father, Grant, brothers Scott, Tim and Matt, and many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her boyfriend David Philippe of Kimberley.
A memorial to celebrate Britt's life will be held in the Spring.
