It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie this past Saturday evening. She bravely fought health challenges for many years and was surrounded by several family members as she passed peacefully in Mills Memorial Hospital.
She was survived by McColl sisters, Gail (Gerald Toop), Shelia (Bill Bull) and Merry Hallsor, and predeceased by her brother Robin, and twin, Bruce.
She is survived by her children Morris (Nicole), Pamela (Brionne), and Brian (Karen), step children Brent and Kelly, grandchildren Kristian, Jacob, Tessa, Marlo, David, Bronte, Aisaya, Keyaira, Kalum, companion Denis Horwill and great grandchildren Isabel and Lucy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Port Alberni, Bonnie spent most of her life in the Terrace area as a school teacher, an active Coach in the NorthWest Music Festival, and a caring mother raising her family.
A ceremony in remembrance will be held at MacKay's Funeral Home at 4626 Davis Avenue in Terrace on February 10th at 2:30pm. There will be a reception to follow with details at the service.
