It is with much sadness that we say goodbye to a husband, dad,

stepdad, uncle, grandad, great-grandad, great-great grandad, and friend.

Art passed away following a brief illness at home in Willow Point, BC in his 95th year, with his wife Maxine at his side. Born in

Vancouver, Art moved to Terrace BC in 1954 and to Vancouver Island in 1964, first to Black Creek and then to Willow Point.

Art was predeceased by his

father Arthur (1890-1938) who

emigrated from the island of Mauritius to Mission, BC in 1910, his mother Annie (1896-1990), his two brothers, Louis and Roy, and his three sisters, Laura Frankforth,

Margaret Williams, and Norma Hayward.

Art is survived by his wife Maxine, his daughter Rebecca Sundberg (Ken) and son Colin; his stepdaughters Laura Brooks (Allan), Margo Wynn (John), Cheryl Armstrong (John) and his stepson Jack Kennedy. He is also survived by his grandchildren Shelagh Rich, Aaron Sundberg, Kiera Polzin, Michael Armstrong, Stacey Armstrong, Todd MacVeigh, Danielle MacVeigh, Victoria Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Katy McClure, Andrew Kennedy and their families, and by his many nieces and nephews. Art was great-grandad to twelve and great-great grandad to one.

Special thanks to Dr. Daniels and his staff and to the Canadian Red Cross and home care specialists who helped provide care in his final months. Also special thanks to the Memorial Society and the many family friends for their assistance and comfort prior to and following his passing. There was no service by request.

He enjoyed a long and well-lived life,

and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
