It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Cliff Yolland, on December 19, 2017 in Vancouver.
Left to mourn are his wife, Sharon Ann Leonard of Kitimat BC, and his sons Cameron James Yolland of Revelstoke BC and William Alexander Yolland (Emma Brookman) of Vancouver, BC, as well as siblings Ernie Field Yolland (Linda Moorlag), Kelly Ann Yolland (Mark Christofferson) and Peter Grant Yolland (Cheryl Wenezenki-Yolland).
Likewise, he is mourned by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jack Carwardine Yolland and Nancy Jean Yolland (nee Archibald).
Born in Trail, BC on October 8, 1952, Cliff studied at Simon Fraser University then worked for recreation departments in Coquitlam and New Westminster before joining the recreation department in Kitimat, BC where he remained for 10 years.
Subsequently he joined SunLife of Canada and finally opened his own firm, Oracle Financial Services with his two friends and partners, Lyle Harvey and Laurie Mitchell.
Cliff was committed to serving his community and spent many hours volunteering with a variety of organizations such as Kiwanis, Kitimat Community Development Centre Society, Delta King Place, Kiwanis Housing Society, Kitimat Community Services, Aluminum City Telethon, Leisure Services Commission and with various sports organizations including the Marlin Swim Club, Kitimat Youth Soccer Association, The Royal Lifesaving Society, Kitimat Rugby Club, Hirsch Creek Golf and Winter Club, and BC Recreation and Parks Association.
Memorials were held in Vancouver and Kitimat for the many friends and family members who will miss Cliff.
Donations to the Delta King Place in Kitimat BC are requested in lieu of flowers.
