June 7, 1919 - March 17, 2011

Tony was the youngest of six children born to Paulus and Tekla Wingenback in Leader, Saskatchewan. In 1936 the family moved north to the Clashmoor area to farm. Tony and Louise moved from Tisdale, Sask. to B.C. in 1952 where for the next 7 years they followed Alcan projects from site to site.

They settled in Terrace, B.C from Kemano in 1959. Tony worked for Terrace Equipment Sales, Industrial Distributors and finally Independent Supplies until 1984. Tony never really retired and could be seen holding court to many friends while he continued to tinker on lawnmowers and bikes in his basement and carport. He was known as the bike man and supplied folks with affordable recycled bikes and lawnmowers.
