November 20, 1926 – September 7, 2018
Anne Irene Molitor, age 91, of Terrace BC, passed away peacefully on Sept 7th, 2018, in her room at Terraceview Lodge surrounded by family.
Anne was born on Haida Gwaii on Nov 20, 1926. The family moved to Terrace in 1942 where Anne completed her education and then worked as an office manager for 30 years for the Ministry of Human Resources, taking early retirement at age 56.
She loved to garden, filling every available space with flowers, trees and vegetables and then generously sharing the fruits of
her labour. Her compassion and care for hungry and abandoned pets knew no bounds and her own pets were well loved and provided her with happy companionship.
Anne had a very strong faith in God and was also dedicated to her church – serving as a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, nursery worker, secretary, and plant caretaker. She loved everyone equally, helping and sharing with those in need – just because she could. She never judged and was always ready to listen. Anytime a visitor stopped in at Anne’s house, the kettle would go on, she’d say, “Let’s have a cuppa!” and some delicious baking would be set out on the table.
Anne is survived by her brother Edwin (Bud) Molitor, her brother-in-law Wally Froese, and her many nieces, nephews, and great/great-grand nieces and nephews.
Anne lived her life humbly, taking great joy in simple blessings. She spread peace and love to everyone she met.
She is deeply missed by her large family and many dear friends – young and old alike.
Friends are invited to join the family in services on Sunday, Sept 23,1pm – Viewing at MacKays, 1:30 pm – Service at MacKays, 3-5 pm Celebration of Life in the Fireside Room at Terrace Pentecostal Assembly
