November 21, 2008
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Forcier in Terrace, B.C. on November 21, 2008. He was born in Montana on July 28, 1919. Andy was the third of seven children. He leaves behind his loving wife of 46years, Amy; his siblings Pat (Ferdie), Isabelle (Lloyd), Leah, Jerry, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was blessed with five children, Donna (Len), Leanne (Alex), Angela, David (Kerri) and Yvonne (Wayne). Andy and Amy have sixteen wonderful grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents Davis and Josephine Forcier, his brother Edmund and sister Anna. Andy grew up in Meadowlake, Saskatchewan. He had a passion for the outdoors.
He was a trapper, goldpanner in his young days. He spend 25 years as a tree faller and had a near fatal injury in 1968. That didn’t stop him from working in the bush - he returned to tree falling and retired in 1984.
He was an avid gardener with a green thumb. You would find him at the Farmer’s market on many Saturdays selling his prize vegetables and fruits. He was always challenging himself with growing his vegetables bigger and better every year. Dad was a war veteran having served in WWII in the Saskatchewan regiment.
Dad also enjoyed wood carving having made bowls and tables. We will miss the many stories you shared with us and will find solace in the many memories that you have left with us.
Donations can be made to the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle.
You will be forever in our hearts
Your loving wife Amy, & Children
