April 25, 1951 - March 30, 2025

In loving memory ~

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear brother Allan who lost his 20 year battle with Parkinson's disease.

Allan was born in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan on April 25, 1951.

The family moved to Terrace on April 1, 1955. With plenty of work here, our family thrived and stayed and made this beautiful land our permanent home.

Allan was passionate about cabinetry, particularly in designing and building kitchen cabinets. Allan never shied away from challenges and career changes. He received a diploma in forestry at BCIT, a red seal in carpentry and a diploma in art, craft and design at Kootenay School of the Arts.

Allan loved the outdoors and working on his acreage bordering Spring Creek just north of Terrace.

Allan also loved traveling, fishing and camping. He especially liked camping on the banks of the Skeena, waking up at dawn, setting a line and waiting for the Springs to come through and hit his line.

Allan never had any family of his own, but was very close to his siblings, nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his brothers Dave and Danny and his sister Georgina, nieces, nephews and their children.

Thank you to the nurses, caregivers and staff at Terrace View Lodge for their kind and supportive care of Allan and for encouraging his witty sense of humor.

A celebration of life will be held on June 21st. Call Dave at 250-638-8320 for more details.
