On May 6th 1961, Abe & June celebrated their love for each other and on that day become lifelong partners. Their journey has been a long and happy one filled with the joy and exploits of their children, Kathy, Tina, Laura, and Baby Melinda.
They experienced the pain and sorrow of losing a child when Baby Melinda passed way. But found their way thru that with grace and each other continuing on to raise us three girls with wisdom and love. In the next part of their journey, they had to watch us girls find our spouses, one turned out to be a long term guy who I’m sure was much more than a son-in-law in their eyes and hearts.
Then along came the grand children Cristy, Andrea, Brittany, Tyler, Jared, Heather, Jessie and Katana. They so enjoyed watching all those grand children come along and grow, becoming very entertaining little characters each and every one of them. Next came some great grandchildren into the family; Sarah, Riley, Maiya and Skylar.
They enjoyed and shared the lives of their brothers and sisters families both near and far and made great efforts to meet and get to know as many of the nieces and nephews as possible.
In all they have had a truly grand journey that has been filled with lots of family, many many good friends, and most of all each other. The consummate Lifelong Team.
On November 2nd, 2011 Mom left us to be in a better place, free of the pain that she had so bravely endured for a number of years. Since her departure, Dad has been steadily tidying up and making ready to join her.
On Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013 in the late evening, Mom arrived to collect Dad. I am told she arrived in style on that rainbow that was seen over Copper Mountain shortly after 9 p.m. that evening.
We all will miss them terribly for years to come, but take much comfort in knowing that they are back together again and Melinda has been waiting oh so patiently for them. It is her turn to bask in the loving care we have enjoyed these many years.
Mom Dad, Thank you for this wonderful life you both provided for us.
We are eternally grateful. Bless us and watch over us.
