Woman charged with assaulting police officer, store employee

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 121 calls for service between Feb 10 and 15.

Here are some of the calls responded to:

-An unlocked vehicle had cash and cards stolen from a wallet inside-A 23-year-old woman deceased on Mountainview Avenue in Thornhill. -Domestic dispute. A couple arguing. -Police attended a domestic dispute and found a man to be breaching his conditions. He was arrested and released with a court date. -A bike was located in the bushes near Keith Avenue and Dudley Little Bridge. -A man reported his unlocked shop and travel trailer had been entered. Nothing was taken. It appeared a person may have been seeking shelter from the weather.-An intoxicated man attended the RCMP detachment and requested food and shelter. Police escorted him to an alternative location, which was closed. The man became aggressive and belligerent. He was subsequently arrested and held in cells for his safety.-A fight between two women. The victim received minor injuries and refused charges. -An 87-year-old man deceased on Thomas Street. -A woman entered a business on Park Avenue and stated she had been jumped by three people. Under investigation. -Sexual assault. Under investigation. -Police attended a business on Keith Avenue for a report of a man assaulting a woman. Police confirmed the two were not in a relationship. The woman did not want charges. She was taken to a safe location. -Motor vehicle collision. Police came across a vehicle on the cement median of a gas station in Thornhill. The driver was not present. Under investigation. -Disturbance. A panic alarm at the shelter on Lakelse Avenue. Staff reported two men were fighting. Both men were arrested and later released without charges. -Motor vehicle collision. A man reported his vehicle had gone off road on North Eby Street. While police were on scene, another vehicle slid off road nearby. -Report of two intoxicated people fighting at Emerson Street and Lazelle Avenue. Surveillance and statements obtained. Both parties located and arrested. Charges recommended.-An intoxicated man who was causing problems at a business on Lakelse Avenue resisted arrest and was found to be breaching a Recognizance. He was arrested and later released on a promise to appear with conditions. Under investigation.-A woman call to report she’d lost her wallet while visiting Terrace. She had since received a text message informing her someone had used her credit card. She called the bank, which told her no one had used the card. The text message was determined to be fraudulent. Items taken documented so they may be returned if located. -Suicidal person. Police spoke to the person. Report unsubstantiated. -Police called to the Hall Street shelter for a report of an intoxicated man. The man was located. Checks revealed he was bound by an Undertaking, Recognizance, and Probation Order in which he was breaching. He was arrested and held for court. -Missing people. Police advised of two overdue skiers on Shames Mountain. Both located by Search and Rescue shortly after. -An adult woman was intoxicated and causing problems with relatives. The woman charged at police and attempted to assault them. She was arrested and released once sober. -A stolen snowmobile was located. Police returned it to its proper owner. -A woman accused of stealing at Safeway assaulted an employee who confronted her. Police attended and arrested the woman, who resisted and kicked a Constable. Chantille Gray of Terrace was charged with one count each of assault and assault a police officer. -Two vehicles collided at Keith Avenue and the Sande Overpass. -A youth engaged in a consensual fight was determined to be breaching curfew conditions. Under investigation. -A man was reported to be intoxicated inside a business on Lakelse Avenue. Police attended and determined the man to be breaching a probation order. The man was arrested and held for court. -Report of a possible home invasion. Police determined the man was not trying to enter the property, but was intoxicated and in breach of a probation order. He was arrested and held for court.
