A WELL-KNOWN local musician who was born and raised here and relocated to the middle east has passed away.

Harold Armstrong, 39, died of a lung infection from pneumonia Aug. 3 in Dubai, where he had lived for the past several years.

He was vocalist with rock bands Kingfish and Human Traffic here and headlined often at the Northern Motor Inn for several years.

A few years ago, he had the opportunity to sing for a band, Cinderella Rockafella, that travelled around the world and moved to Dubai, said friend Tony DeMelo.

“He was a very good friend, employee at the store (Sight and Sound), had great charisma, [was a] front musician (singer),” said DeMelo.

“I think he lived life the way he wanted to live it. He'll leave a few big holes in people's lives...At the end of the day, he was still a Terracite.”
