Two mildly intoxicated men hugging misinterpreted as fighting

During the same time period, four people were lodged in Terrace cells – all were lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Possible assault on a child at a restaurant on Park Ave. Police spoke with the people involved and an external agency. No criminal concerns.

A grey Kia backed into a white Dodge Journey in the Royal Bank parking lot. Very minor damage to the Kia.

An intoxicated man rolling around on the ground near the Skeena Liquor Store. Police arrested the middle aged man. He was not cooperative.

Two men passed out in an alleyway. Police woke the men up and transported them to the damp shelter.

Elsewhere Terrace

Assault. A youth threw a hot bowl of soup at another youth. Under investigation.

Missing person. Under investigation.

Fraud with a bank card. Under investigation.

One black and one yellow extension cord were stolen from a home on the 2600 block of Pear St. sometime between January 17/18.

Disturbance at the Park Avenue Medical Building. Police spoke with a man.

A fight in progress on Park Ave. Police spoke with two mildly intoxicated men. They had been hugging, which was misinterpreted as fighting.

Vandalism to a lock of an apartment building on Sparks St.

An aggressive man banging on doors, swearing, and yelling on Park Ave. Checks of the area were done.

Deceased 75-year-old woman on McConnell Ave.

Possible impaired driver in a Buick Le Sabre. Police attended the registered owner’s address.

Intoxicated man causing a disturbance at a residence on Goulet Ave. Police located the man walking on Sparks St. He was arrested.

Domestic with a knife. Police spoke with the people involved. The incident was verbal only. Police attended the residence for a second time later in the evening for a disturbance call. People were spoken with again.

A person not happy with treatment received at the hospital. Police spoke with the woman and transported her elsewhere.

False alarm on Keith Ave.

Thornhill

Request to stand by and keep the peace while a company performs work on Queensway Dr. Same done. No issues.

Possible impaired driver in a silver Pontiac. Checks of the area were done. The vehicle was located later in the evening parked.

Domestic. Police spoke with the people involved. A resolution was reached. Later in the evening a woman was arrested when she was located walking around intoxicated.

Noise complaint. Police attended. All was quiet.

Rural

Ice on the Highway near Gossen Creek. Police attended and removed the ice.
