Two 10-year-olds bully another child in Thornhill

Police say principal, parents and teachers working together on it.

TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 19 calls for service from May 14, 8 a.m. till May 15, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there were 11 people lodged in Terrace Cells. Of these 11, three were lodged for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

a white Dodge pickup truck was checked in the parking lot of Dairy Queen. The 57-year-old driver refused to provide a sample of his breath on a roadside screening device. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Suspension for refusing and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

group of people drinking alcohol in the Umbrella Park. Police spoke with three men and a woman. They were sober.

intoxicated man passed out at the bus stop near McDonald's. The man left prior to police attendance.

a woman was assaulted by her boyfriend. No injuries. The 25-year-old man left prior to police attendance.

a 1984 Ford Ranger had the window smashed out of it while parked on the 4700 block of Lakelse Ave. Nothing was taken.

Elsewhere Terrace

a landlord heard that there was illegal activity going on in their rental property. Advice was given on the matter.

a woman co-signed a loan for a truck. The truck payments are in default and the bank is seeking payments from her. Police explained that this was a civil matter.

threats investigation.

a white iPhone 4s went missing at the Terrace Aquatic Center.

neighborhood dispute. Allegations on both sides of peeking in windows, shining lights and laser beams into each other's residences, etc. Police spoke with the people involved.

familial dispute. 16-year-old boy having a tantrum. Police spoke with the people involved and an agreement was reached.

domestic assault in front of Cassie Hall. Police located a 29-year-old man and 30-year-old woman. They were both arrested for public intoxication. The man resisted arrest and two members had to control him on the ground. Drug paraphernalia was seized from his person. Charges of assault are being forwarded to Crown Counsel on the man.

suspicious person sleeping under a blanket on a walking trail in the wooded area of Gordon Dr. Police located a 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man. The man was in breach of a no contact order and a curfew. He was arrested and held for court.

group of youths smoking marihuana in behind Suwilaawks School. Checks were done of area.

Thornhill

10-year-old boy is being bullied by a 10-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl at Thornhill School. Police spoke with the principal of the school who is dealing with the matter together with teachers and parents.

five vehicles had holes punched through gas tanks while parked at an address in the 3000 block of Hwy 16 east.

loud music on Old Lakelse Lake Dr. Police spoke with a 36-year-old woman.

Rural

a pressure canner wrapped in duct tape at Pederson St./Rifle Range Rd. Police confirmed that it was some rotten crabs.

a silver 2007 Jeep Cherokee went off road and into the Skeena River a couple miles west of Slickenslide Creek. The lone occupant was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital.

Kitsumkalum

a woman knocking on doors. Checks were done of area. A short time later, a second call was received that a woman was locked out of her residence. Police spoke with the woman who stated she was concerned about the well-being of the owner of the residence she is renting. The owner's son attended the location and confirmed that his father was okay.
