TERRACE RCMP have responded to approximately 105 calls for service from Friday, April 19, 8 a.m. till Monday, April 22, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there were 31 people lodged in Terrace Cells. Nineteen of these people were lodged for public intoxication.

A man assaulted another man in the back of the head with a casted arm. Under investigation.
Break and enter to Rolcan Fabrications on Kenworth St. during the night of April 18/19th. Tools in a plastic yellow toolbox were stolen.
Group of intoxicated men drinking alcohol at Lakelse Ave./Emerson St. Police arrested a 37-year-old man for breaching his undertaking by consuming alcohol. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Shoplifting from Sight and Sound on Lakelse Ave. Video surveillance has been obtained. Under investigation.
A grey 2003 Jeep Liberty was pulled over on Hwy 37 south near the 36 km mark for going 148 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone. The 24-year-old driver was issued a violation ticket and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
Police attended to a residence to check on the well-being of a man. Investigation led police to conducting a check at the Back Eddy Pub. A man and woman who are on conditions to have no contact with each other were observed sitting together. A 35-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were both arrested for breach and are held for court.
Police checked a green 1999 Saturn sedan on Hwy 16 near Crescent St. The 25-year-old driver proved a sample of breath on a roadside screening device that resulted in a warn. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
Break and Enter to Copperside on Keith Ave. The suspect is described as 5 ft 10 inches, medium build, wearing a dark blue or black hoodie, blue jeans, light colored gloves, and white running shoes. A window was smashed and numerous cigarettes were stolen.
Theft from an unlocked vehicle parked on McConnell Ave.
A vehicle was rear ended in the drive thru of the McDonald's. Under investigation.
A boy riding his dirt bike on a vacant lot on Walsh Ave. Police spoke with the 16-year-old boy. A second call was received that the boy revved his engine when police left. Police spoke with the boy's father. A noise bylaw and its associated fine was discussed.
Theft from an unlocked grey 2012 Dodge Journey parked on Straume Ave.
Intoxicated man causing problems at McDonald's. Police located a 48-year-old man walking with a puppy on Lakelse Ave. The man was mildly intoxicated and unable to care for the puppy. Police turned the puppy over to the Terrace Animal Shelter. The puppy was not his.
Fight in the A&W. A 50-year-old man and 29-year-old woman entered the restaurant with their small dog. An employee asked the pair to take their dog outside. The man began to cause a disturbance and yell obscenities at the staff. A witness approached the man to assist the store employees. The man punched the witness in the face then tackled him to the ground, breaking a table. The woman then began to punch the witness as well. Under investigation.
Possible impaired in a blue 2011 Mazda. Police pulled the vehicle over on Emerson St./Greig Ave. The 19-year-old river failed a roadside screening device. She was issued an Immediate Roadside Suspension and the vehicle she was driving was impounded. A 22-year-old passenger was arrested for assault on another matter.
Three vehicles hit a moose on Hwy 37 near Westside Road at Lakelse Lake. No injuries except for the moose that died as a result of the injuries it suffered. All three vehicles had to be towed.
While at the scene of a moose motor vehicle accident, police observed a red 2006 Ford F350 truck attempt to avoid them. A 19-year-old driver was unable to produce a driver's licence because he was currently on an Immediate Roadside Suspension from a previous impaired driving. The man provided two samples of breath that were three times more than the legal limit. Charges of driving while prohibited and impaired driving are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
A black 1992 Ford F250 had all of its tires slashed while parked at a residence on Birch Ave. during the early morning hours of April 21.
Suicidal 26-year-old man with a knife in the lobby of an apartment building on Pear St., stating that he wanted police to shoot him. Police talked to the man and apprehended him under the Mental Health Act with incident.
Break and enter to Rolcan Fabrications on Kenworth St, third one in a week. While police were at the location, a man stated that he chased four youths off the property on Friday night. The man returned a short time later to inform police that he just saw two of the youths at a nearby residence. Police spoke with the youths and gathered information to form the opinion that they were responsible for the break and enter and arrested them for same. Tools were recovered. Under investigation.
Theft of a purse from an unlocked vehicle parked at Copperside Foods. Police observed video surveillance and identified a man known to them parked in the parking lot at the same time. Police attended to the 52-year-old's residence and spoke to him about the incident. He attended to the detachment the next day and returned the purse and contents.
A white 2012 Toyota Tacoma rear ended a white 2011 Grand Caravan while it was stopped at a red light on Hwy 16 West beside Walmart. No injuries. Both vehicles were damaged but drivable.
Three youth with a black dog spray painting the back of a business on Lazelle Ave at 10:30 p.m.s Sunday night. Police conducted checks of the area and detained three boys ages 17, 15, and 17 years of age. They were not co-operative with police.
Domestic dispute. Intoxicated man refusing to leave a residence. Police arrested a 26-year-old man. He attempted to push the police down the stairs of the residence. The man also had a warrant for his arrest for a domestic assault that occurred on February 19th.
Two men car shopping on Benner St. Police located two men ages 21 and 18. During the course of investigation items obtained by theft were found on their persons. The men were arrested for possession of stolen property and theft. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
