TERRACE RCMP have responded to approximately 17 calls for service from October 2nd, 8 a.m. till October 3rd, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, there were four people lodged in Terrace Cells – one of these people was lodged for public intoxication.
Downtown Terrace
Abandoned 1990 Chevrolet Camper Van in a parking lot on Lakelse Ave. The registered owner was contacted.
Intoxicated woman on Emerson St. Police arrested a 46-year-old woman for public intoxication.
Police observed a man urinating in public in front of the Bear Country Inn on Lakelse Ave. Checks determined that there was a warrant of arrest out of Dawson Creek for the man. He was arrested.
Elsewhere Terrace
Break and enter on Scott Ave. sometime during the night. Meat was stolen from a freezer.
False business alarm on Lazelle Ave.
Assist Mills Memorial Hospital with an AWOL patient. Police apprehended the 20-year-old woman on Haugland Ave.
Man aggressively panhandling on Park Ave. Police spoke with the 33-year-old man who agreed to leave the area.
Man screaming in the bushes on Kalum St. Police spoke with the 34-year-old man. Advice was given which calmed him.
False business alarm on Kalum St.
False personal distress alarm.
Confused elderly woman at a business on Kalum St.
Man tore off his shirt and is barefoot on Lazelle Ave. Police spoke with the man and he went on his way.
Thornhill
Police checked a white 2001 GMC Sierra truck on Queensway Dr. The 53-year-old driver was prohibited from driving. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The truck was impounded.
A woman was chased by a large black and white dog into her shed on Sockeye Creek St.
Rural
Theft from an unlocked red 2004 Pontiac Grand AM parked on Haugland Ave. Medication, a red Nikon camera, a various cards and ID was stolen.
Harassing letters investigation.
Shots heard near Onion Lake.
Kitsumkalum
Dog in cage for a long time at the Fishing Park. Police conducted checks.
