Terrace RCMP seize drugs, paraphernalia, cash in downtown bust

Police recommending drug charge against 29-year-old.

TERRACE RCMP busted a young man for drugs in the downtown area late last month.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3500 block of Kalum St. on Saturday April 27th and seized an amount of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and money, reported police May 1.

A charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking is being forwarded on a 29-year-old man, said police.

There is an increased level of crime in a neighborhood when there are drugs around. The citizens of Terrace need to take ownership and report this behavior so that the Terrace RCMP can be more effective in shutting down drug houses. Report drug activity to Crime Stoppers and we will take it from there, says Const. James Lauriault, Terrace Crime Reduction Unit, also known as the street crew.

If you have information about this crime contact the Terrace RCMP at 250-638-7400 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers by telephone at 1-800-222-TIPS, online at www.terracecrimestoppers.ca or by texting TERRACE plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES).
