Terrace RCMP seeking help identifying person of interest in home invasion

Police say a woman was sexually assaulted and robbed at a residence in the 4400 block of Park Ave.

Terrace RCMP are asking the public for help to identify a person of interest in a home invasion in the downtown area.

On Monday, January 30th at approximately 4:30 a.m., a woman woke up with a man in her bedroom at her residence on the 4400 block of Park Ave.

He had a knife and demanded money, and then sexually assaulted the woman.

The bank card stolen from the woman was used at the Terrace Credit Union shortly after.

"If you saw anybody in the area of the 4400 block of Park Ave. or the Terrace Credit Union on Lazelle Ave. in the early morning hours of Monday, January 30th, call us.

"This is a very concerning incident and we want to remind people to ensure you lock your doors, and report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood," says Sgt. Michael Robinson, acting operations non-commissioned officer Terrace RCMP.

The images are of a young man wearing a black jacket with red detail and a dark colored hat with FOX on the front.

Terrace General Duty officers, General Investigation Section, Police Dog Service, and the Terrace and Prince Rupert’s Forensic Identification Section have put their full resources on this investigation.
