Terrace hosts literacy event today

IT’S NATIONAL Literacy Day today and in Terrace it means an event this afternoon in the Clarence Michiel building at Suwilaawks Community School.

From 1 pm to 4 pm there will be a variety of activities for adults and younger people.

People can play while others can read and others can cook.

There’s soup and bannock and books that can be taken home.

There is no charge for this event.

The list of activities includes word games, board games and language activities.

The event is hosted by Terrace Community Literacy with the participation of other groups and agencies.
