BC Transit buses within the Terrace system are returning to service as of 11 a.m. after being kept off the roads because of unsafe driving conditions.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter,” BC Transit said in a service alert.

BC Transit announced yesterday its buses would not be running today after the Christmas Day and Boxing Day break until city crews plowed and sanded roads.

The service did, however, say Park Ave. downtown between Kalum and Sparks is still inaccessible due to snow being piled in the middle of the street.

“Anyone wanting to access the bus in this area, please go one block south to Lazelle or one block north to Davis,” it said this morning.
