The City of Terrace announced March 10 that the George Little Park Playground and Fitness Park areas will be closed, starting the week of March 20th to undergo various renovation projects.
Upgrades to the park include the following: new equipment and new rubberized surfacing in the Fitness Park; new equipment and new rubberized surfacing in existing Kin Tot Playground. This portion of the project is being partially funded by the Kinsmen Club of Terrace; and a new splash park. This portion of the project is being funded through a partnership between the City of Terrace, the Rotary Club of Terrace, and the Rotary Club of Terrace Skeena Valley.
Park users can expect the fitness play area and the site around the existing play area to be enclosed with temporary fence for the duration of the construction process.
Construction is estimated to take approximately 10-12 weeks to complete. The sidewalk and the rest of the park will remain accessible to the public during this time.
