Terrace, B.C. downtown parking study open house tonight

Open house provides an opportunity for public to review and provide comment on initial findings of the study and potential solutions.

The next phase of a parking study to determine how best to plan for parking in the future takes place today for city council, stakeholders, and the public.

MMM Group, who has been hired by the city to conduct the Downtown Parking Study, will talk with council and then with stakeholders at a workshop.

The day will conclude with a public open house.

The events are to present the results and findings of the work completed to-date on the Terrace Downtown Parking Study, including follow-up from the first focussed discussion this past November.

Stakeholders will also get an opportunity to review the various downtown parking solutions that the consultant team has developed.

The open house provides an opportunity for the public to review and provide comment on the initial findings of the study and potential solutions being considered.

City representatives and the parking consultant will be at the open house to answer questions.

The first phase of the parking study involved a review of parking demand in the downtown and a public survey.

The public open house is set for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 8, in the multi-purpose room at the Terrace Sportsplex.
