Teens deny 'car shopping'

TERRACE RCMP says trio of intoxicated girls were checking for unlocked car doors on Walker St.

TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 20 calls for service from July 10th, 8 a.m. till July 11th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, there have been five people lodged in Terrace Cells – four of these people were lodged for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

a man sucker punched another man in the face at the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Lakelse Ave.

intoxicated person passed out of the back door of a daycare on Kalum St.

Elsewhere Terrace

a man possibly involved in the Canadian Tire fraud currently at the store. Police spoke with the people involved.

a vehicle with no insurance in the Ferry Island campground. The vehicle was gone prior to police attendance.

possible impaired driver in a blue Dodge. Police pulled over a blue 2003 Dodge Durango in the area. The 56-year-old driver provided two samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in fails. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

suicidal 21-year-old woman. Police spoke with the woman. Unsubstantiated.

noisy party in the area of Sparks St. Checks were done.

people arguing on Bruce St. Checks were done of the area. Two boys were moved on from the Skeena Middle School property.

false business alarm on Sparks St.

sexual assault investigation. The people involved are not willing to cooperate with police.

ongoing separation dispute over property and custody.

Thornhill

a person verbally attacked another person over a civil matter. Police involvement was not wanted at this time.

neighborhood dispute.

theft of an ATV on Penner St. Investigation led to the arrest of a 17-year-old boy. The ATV was recovered and returned to its owner. Ongoing investigation.

group of people checking for unlocked vehicle doors on Walker St. Police located a group of three girls ages 15, 14, and 14, who denied car shopping. All three were arrested for public intoxication and turned over to their respective parents.

Rural

a grey 2003 Honda Element passing in an unsafe manner on Hwy 37 near the Kitimat bridge. Ongoing investigation.

familial dispute. A teenage girl upset over cleaning up spaghetti. Last time parent attempted to deal with her she became violent. She was gone prior to police attendance.

theft of a bike. A man left his bike at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Queensway Dr. to look under the bridge, when he climbed back up, the bike was gone. It is a 15-year-old Norco with a worn seat, a hybrid between a mountain bike and a street racing bike.

false alarm on Kofoed Dr.

a 2012 M800 162 inch Sno Pro Snowmobile was found in between Copper Mountain and Thornhill Mountain.
