Suspicious occurrence reported to Terrace RCMP

Neighbours asked to be aware of what happens on their street

TERRACE RCMP are warning the public about a suspicious occurrence that happened yesterday at approximately 4 PM near Churchhill Dr and Highway 37.

A 13 yr old girl got off the school bus and was walking home when she noticed a man following her, indicates a release from the local RCMP detachment.

The man ran off into the woods when a neighbor acknowledged the girl. The man was described as early 40's, black hair, dark clothing, 5 ft 9 inches to 6 ft, average weight, and First Nations.

"We do not know what this man was up to. The girl made it home safely and told her mother right away about the incident,"  says Cst. Lori Foster, a general duty constable at the Terrace detachment.

Neighbors need to be aware of who and what belongs in their neighborhood and report anything that doesn’t to the RCMP immediately, she added.
