Regional district election candidate list grows

THE LIST of candidates for the regional district is growing rapidly as three more candidates have entered the race.

THE LIST of candidates for the regional district is growing rapidly as three more candidates have entered the race.

For Electoral Area A, the Nass Valley and Meziadin, there’s incumbent Harry Nyce; for Electoral Area D, which is Telegraph Creek, Bob Quinn and Iskut, there’s incumbent Dave Brocklebank; and for Electoral Area F, which is Dease Lake and area, there’s incumbent Darcie Frocklage.

That brings the total candidates as of this morning to 11.

Already in the race are incumbent Dean Paranich for Area B, incumbent Allan Lancot and newcomers Glenn Martin,  Doug McLeod and current city councillor Brad Pollard for Area C and incumbent Ted Ramsey and newcomer  Sarah Crampton and previous board member prior to 2008 Les Watmough.

Candidates have to file before 4 p.m. today.

The election is set for Nov. 19.
