Police have released a photo of the truck believed to be involved in the hit-and-run death of Terrace’s Cameron Kerr, asking anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the Terrace area during the early morning hours of Nov. 18 to come forward.

Police have stated in the past that one person was taken into custody, but are now seeking further information from the public.

“Your information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could aid the investigation into this fatal hit and run collision,” reads an RCMP press release.

Calls can be made to Sgt. Shawn McLaughlin at 250-638-7438 or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Kerr, 30, was walking home eastbound towards Terrace on Hwy 16 between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Nov. 18, when was struck by an oncoming pickup. His body was found in the ditch later that day.

On Nov. 21 public tips led investigators to Haida Gwaii, where seven individuals were questioned and one person, from the Lower Mainland, was taken into custody. Two pickup trucks, two boats and three boat trailers have been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
