Police investigating two overnight stabbings

The Terrace RCMP are looking for any witnesses to two separate stabbings overnight.

Around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday night police received a report of a person being chased by another with a knife in the 2600-block area of Sparks Street. A man and a woman received serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Police are releasing no other details pending an investigation but said a man was arrested in connection to the incident.

Later that night around 3:45 a.m., police were called to Mills Memorial Hospital when a man arrived seeking medical attention for stab wounds. He reported being stabbed in the back while in his tent, west of the Sande Overpass.

The attack was unprovoked and the attacker unknown to the victim.
