Police called to remove drunk from residence

Terrace RCMP say it was their second call about the man that day

TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 48 calls for service from November 26th, 8 a.m. till November 28th, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there have been nine people lodged in Terrace Cells – six of these people were lodged for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Intoxicated man walking around the Skeena Mall with open liquor. Police located the 37-year-old man passed out on the bus bench near Safeway and arrested him for public intoxication.

Man consuming liquor with his tea at a business. He was asked to leave and caused a disturbance by yelling profanities and swearing. Police located the 43-year-old man at Tim Horton's and he agreed to go home. Once he got home, police received a second call that he was not wanted inside of the residence while intoxicated. Police arrested the man.

False business alarm on Lakelse Ave.

Theft of items from a purse. Cash, smokes, and a black Sony cell phone went missing from a purse that was turned into Skeena Mall security. The purse was returned to its owner.

A work truck was broken into. Under investigation.

Group of people fighting in the alley behind Mr Mikes. The people had dispersed prior to police attendance.

Elsewhere Terrace

Assist Terrace Fire Department with a fire on Scott Ave. It was caused by a carelessly discarded cigarette. Damage was minimal to the house.

A credit card that was stolen from a vehicle was used at locations in town. Under investigation.

Familial dispute. The people involved were spoken with.

Intoxicated woman at the Medical Clinic. The woman left prior to police attendance.

Supply liquor to minor investigation.

Youth possibly doing drugs in a residence on Sparks St. Police conducted checks.

A man walked into the side of a vehicle on Keith Ave./Sande Overpass. The man got up and continued on. No injuries and no damage.

A man reported that a woman was at his residence. Police conducted checks.

A man acting in an irrational manner in a basement on Sparks St. Police spoke with the man. He left on his own accord. Police observed the man staggering down Emerson St./Park Ave. later in the evening and arrested him for public intoxication.

A woman leaning over the bridge near Walmart. Checks were conducted of the area.

A woman acting in an irrational manner. Police spoke with the woman and could not make sense of what she was trying to say. A family member was called and agreed to take care of the woman.

Assault. Three intoxicated people walking through a trailer court were jumped by three men and a woman. No injuries. Checks were done of the area. The people involved were not cooperative.

Suicidal 28 yr old man. He was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital by BC Ambulance.

Man being followed. Police have spoken with various people. Under investigation.

A warrant has been issued for a 34-year-old man who failed to show for court.

A warrant has been issued for a 42-year-old man who failed to show for court.

A warrant has been issued for a 35-year-old woman who failed to show for court.

Information received to assist police with a missing person investigation.

AWOL 37-year-old patient from Mills Memorial Hospital.

False 911 call. A child was playing with the phone.

Intoxicated man refusing to leave the lobby of the Medical Clinic. A 61-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication.

A woman is babysitting a child and the parents failed to return home. Police located the parents and spoke with them.

False cellular 911 call. Police located the man. He had called 911 because he thought his friend was sick and then realized his friend was okay so hung up on dispatch.

Intoxicated man inside of a residence that he is not welcome to be in. Police located the 36-year-old man hiding in the garage and arrested him.

False business alarm on Haugland Ave.

False 911 call.

Well-being check of a woman. She was fine.

Traffic incident at Denny's.

A woman concerned for her safety at the Medical Clinic. Police arrested a 38-year-old man for public intoxication. The woman was unharmed.

Thornhill

Possible impaired driver in a red 2001 Pontiac Sunfire. The 55-year-old driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a warn. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

A black 2013 GMC passed another vehicle on Krumm Rd. and almost caused a collision.

Rural

School bus incident. Police spoke with the mother of a child. The complaint was unsubstantiated and the complainant was uncooperative.

An amount of marijuana was found and turned into the detachment for destruction.

Drug information received.

Landlord/tenant dispute. Police spoke with the people involved and an agreement was reached.

A grey Subaru station wagon abandoned by the railroad tracks on Queensway Dr. near the stock car track.

Kitsumkalum

Theft investigation led police to apprehending a 13-year-old suicidal girl under the Mental Health Act and transporting her to Mills Memorial Hospital to be assessed.
