A male on a quad with a male passenger failed to stop for police at the four-way stop of Hwy16 and 37 the morning of April 10 around 1 a.m.

Police arrested the driver when the quad broke down in the parking lot of the Northern Motor Inn.

The driver was given violation tickets under the motor vehicle act for no insurance and no helmet.

The passenger was issued a violation ticket under the motor vehicle act for riding without a helmet.

The driver was released on a Promise to Appear, and police are recommending charges on the driver of driving while ability impaired, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and flight from police.
