Police alerted to two found bikes

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 22 calls for service on August 2.

Here are some of the calls:

Police received a report of an assault with a weapon in Kitsumkalum. Under investigation.

Police responded to an abandoned 911 call. The call was related to a medical emergency.

An assault was reported. Police spoke to those involved. Unsubstantiated.

A trailer decal was reported lost.

A found bike was turned into the detachment.

Police received a report of an assault with a weapon near Lakelse Avenue and Atwood Street. Under investigation.

An abandoned 911 call was received from a payphone. Police attended and discovered a child had been playing with the phone.

Police on foot patrol were flagged down to deal with a man laying down in a stairwell. The man was intoxicated. While dealing with him, another intoxicated man appeared. Both were arrested and lodged in cells to sober up safely.

Police assisted ambulance with an intoxicated man on the 4500 block of Greig Avenue. The man was taken to hospital and arrested following his release. He was held in cells to sober up safely.

A dog was reported in a hot vehicle. Police attended. The vehicle had left.

A dispute was reported on Loen Avenue. Police attended and spoke to those involved.

Police received a report of drug use on Pine Street in Thornhill. Unsubstantiated.

A found bike was reported to police.

An abandoned 911 call was received from an area in Thornhill. Police attempted to contact the phone’s owner and made patrols in the area.

A person was apprehended under the Mental Health Act.

A traffic complaint was received regarding ATVs on River Drive. Police spoke to people present in the area.

A man was passed out in the 4600 block of Lakelse Avenue. Police patrolled the area. No one was located.

Police received a request to assist ambulance on Apsley Street.

An intoxicated man was reported on Queensway Drive. Police attended and arrested a man for Cause a Disturbance. He was lodged in cells to sober up safely.

An erratic driver was reported on Queensway Drive near Old Remo Road in Thornhill. Patrols of the area were made.
