Parker goes back to court

A local man goes to court in Grand Prairie, Alberta in the coming weeks. He hasn't yet decided on a trial by judge or judge and jury.

Shane parker faces five criminal charges alleged to have happened in Grande Prairie, Alberta earlier this year.

He has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault of a police officer, two counts of resisting a peace officer and one charge of mischief under $5,000 for allegedly assaulting two Grande Prairie RCMP constables at Walmart on June 4. His lawyer Terrance Hudson said Parker had been in Grande Prairie for work. At a court date in the northern Alberta city in July, Parker reserved his election and plea until Aug. 20.

However, at that time, he also did not make a plea or elect whether he wants to be tried by judge alone or judge and jury. His next  court  date is Dec. 3.
