No foul play in Kispiox death

Death continues to be investigated by a provincial coroner.

THE NEW Hazelton RCMP have completed their portion of the investigation into the death of a 62 yr old Kispiox man, who was discovered deceased inside his residence near New Hazelton last Friday November 25th.

RCMP investigators have ruled out foul play and the matter continues to be investigated by the BC Coroners Service.

On Friday November 25, 2011, at around 3:30pm, the New Hazelton RCMP attended to the residence of a 62 yr old New Hazleton man after family requested police assistance in checking in on his well being. Officers found the man deceased inside his residence on the Kispiox Reserve near New Hazelton.

Based on the findings from their examination of the home on Giskaast Street, Kispiox Reserve in addition to the results of the autopsy completed on Tuesday at Vancouver General Hospital, the New Hazelton RCMP has concluded that the man’s death is not as a result of foul play. The BC Coroners Service are continuing their investigation into the man’s death.
