A fire broke out outside the Terrace Standard office on Clinton Street early Monday morning, causing minor damage to the side of the building.

Terrace fire department extinguished the blaze and there were no reported injuries and Terrace Standard management arrived at the scene at around 5 a.m.

Staff had observed a man and a woman camped in the doorway Sunday night with a collection of garbage bags.

The pair were engaged in a loud altercation but appeared to have quieted down when staff left the scene. No charges have been laid.
