Foul play suspected in Kispiox death

RCMP have arrested and are holding a 25-year-old man

NEW Hazelton RCMP say they have arrested one man following the death of another in the early morning hours of May 19.

Foul play is suspected in the death of the man in Kispiox in the Hazelton area and investigators from the area’s major crimes unit have been called in.

Police say they were called to assist the BC Ambulance Service when a non-responsive man was found at a Kispiox residence at approximately 5 a.m. May 19.

“Officers attended to find a 42 year old man deceased at the scene,” states a police release.

“Police have arrested a 25 year old man who will remain in custody pending consultation with Crown Counsel,” the release continued.

No other details are immediately available.
