Ford truck stolen from Northern Motor Inn

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 17 calls for service from December 16th, 8 AM till December 17th, 8 AM. During the same time period there was one person lodged in Terrace Cells, none for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Man passed out in a dumpster on Lazelle Ave. Checks were done of the area.

Police pulled over a green 1997 Ford F150 on Lakelse Ave/Emerson St. The 38 yr old driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail. She was issued an Immediate Roadside Driving Prohibition and the vehicle she was driving was impounded.

Possible impaired driver in a grey 2005 Chevrolet Optra on Lakelse Ave. Police observed the vehicle travelling through a parking lot with a young woman chasing the vehicle and screaming at it. The 38 yr old driver refused to provide a proper breath sample. She was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition. Checks determined that she was already a prohibited driver. Charges of driving while prohibited are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The vehicle was impounded.

Fight at McDonald’s. It was deemed consensual. A 16 yr old boy was taken to Mills Memorial Hospital to be assessed. Under investigation.

Group of youth threatened another youth walking in the area of Lazelle Ave. Police located and spoke with the group who moved on.

Man passed out in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Husky gas station. Police found a red Ford F150 with a 43 yr old man sleeping in the driver’s seat. He was sober and did not see the issue with sleeping in a vehicle blocking the parking lot and two gas pumps. He moved on.

Elsewhere Terrace

A gray 2003 Dodge van drove over a lawn in the 4300 block of Lakelse Ave, causing deep ruts. Police spoke with the 52 yr old driver who agreed to rectify the situation.

Assist Prince George RCMP with service of documents

Domestic dispute. Police spoke with a man and woman who would not stop calling each other names. A 15 yr old girl also continued to yell and be part of the mayhem. The man found alternate accommodation for the night till cooler heads could prevail.

A grey Honda Odyssey was observed without insurance and pulled over. The 34 yr old driver did not have a driver’s license. Police dealt with the incident and towed the vehicle.

Northern Mental Health requested police assistance with a wellbeing check. The 67 yr old man was fine.

Missing 12 yr old girl. Runaway. She was located by police walking on Sparks St.

A red 2004 GMC Sierra truck was hit on the driver’s side by a passing vehicle on Hwy 37 south. No injuries and the damage was minor.

An intoxicated woman refusing to leave a residence. She assaulted a man then left prior to police attendance. Checks were conducted in the area.

Assist Kitimat RCMP with the execution of a warrant

Assist Department of Fisheries and Oceans with a warrant execution.

Missing 21 yr old woman

Breach of probation investigation.

A three year old locked his mother out of a residence then refused to open the door. Police gave advice on the matter.

Domestic dispute. A woman locked a man out of a house.

Elder abuse investigation.

Rural

A green Tempo stuck on Hwy 37 on Airport Hill. Checks were done of the area.

Motor vehicle incident on Whitebottom Rd.

A white 2004 Ford F350 with a tidy tank in the back, BC LP #2233HG was stolen while it was parked at the Northern Motor Inn last night.

An eastbound transport truck passing unsafely on Hwy 16 east.
