A FIFTH person has filed to enter the Terrace mayoralty race.
Merv Ritchie joined the electoral fray minutes before the filing deadline of 4 pm today.
Also filing this afternoon were Jennifer Lewis and Don Dunster.
Current councillor Bruce Martindale made his candidacy official yesterday while sitting mayor Dave Pernarowski filed last week.
If the mayor's race is crowded, so is the one for the six seats on Terrace council.
Newcomers Tyson Hull and Tamara Ainscow filed today as did two other newcomer hopefuls, MaryAnn Freeman and Chris Gee.
Earlier in the week newcomers Dan LaFrancois and Stacey Tyers filed as did Martin Holzbauer and Mike Ross.
James Cordeiro, who ran unsuccessfully in 2008, also filed as has Marylin Davies, a veteran councillor who was defeated in 2008.
Sitting councillors Bruce Bidgood, Brian Downie and Lynne Christiansen are also running again.
