LOCAL RESIDENT James Morrow graduated from a Texas firefighter training institution this month.
The Kilgore College Fire Academy No. 79 is in Kilgore, Texas and is a designated institution by the provincial government.
Morrow was among a group of Canadian students within a 24-member graduating class at the academy.
The academy offers certification schools covering a number of firefighting areas including structure fires and fire and arson investigation.
Kilgore is located east of the Fort Worth-Dallas area and is close to the border between Texas and Louisiana.
