THE RCMP spent a good part of the day investigating a fire that broke out in the basement area of Dennys in the early morning, today, Sept. 10.
Ident officer Chuck Leblanc and Cpl. Clint Lange were inside investigating and emerged to say they didn't have anything definite to say at this time, early this afternoon.
The restaurant was closed and an officer on security detail kept an eye on the main entrances.
Scorched boxes full of papers sat on the parking lot pavement in the sun as the only evidence from the outside that there had been a fire in the building.
Police continue to investigate.
